MiniArt is again making available its two figure kits depicting WWII-era German and Japanese military personnel.
German Soldiers with Fuel Drums, Special Edition (35256). As an updated release, the kit will include extra parts to build an additional figure. A total of 6 figures may be built from a parts count of 54.

Japanese Tank Crew (35128). This surely will be a welcome accessory given the number Japanese armor kits being released by manufacturers of late. The kit contains 57 parts to build five figures.

Our thanks to MiniArt for this update.

The bone structure, noses and eye shape are all well within Asian norms. Besides unpainted figures often don't look like much of anything. As anyone versed in ethnography will tell you there is more variety of features within a population than between populations. What many assume to be the features of various groups are actually stereotypes based on the discredited racial typing of the 19th century.

AAAH! Thought we were getting some new Wehrmacht figures. An old set with the driver from the Mercedes 170 added in.

I'm kind of happy with the reissue on the German refueling crew. An extra figure is always appreciated, though so would more fuel drums.
