By MICHAEL BISHOP
Monroe Perdu have been busy designing some new laser cut items the past few months. The company is expanding its1/48 scale offerings, as well as continuing with its laser cut zimmerit sets.

For modellers who are creating vignettes in 1/48 scale, Monroe Perdu offer some laser cut sets that will add some delicate detail to bases and structures, the company is also adding to its 1/32-1/35 Scale line:

MPD4806 1/48 Scale Storm Drains
$9.00
MPD4802 1/48 Scale Roof Shingles Set 1
$ 16.00
MPD4804 1/48 Scale Windows and Shutters Set 1
$ 13.00
MPD 052 1/32-1/35 Scale Roof Shingles Set 1
$22.00

MPD 055 1/32-1/35 Iron Fence
$18.00

The company also have a limited number of full scale M24 German Stick Grenade kits that were created for a museum display and are a great compliment to a scale model collection.

Monroe Perdu are also handling Claude Joachim's Clervaux Castle diorama book in the USA and should have it in stock later this month.

Hey Pat About the shingles... Are they seperable or do you apply the whole row in one piece, and then the next a half shingle further along to maintain an overlap? Brad

I know that other companies make similar products, but Monroe Perdu is local and therefore Amercan made, when I need these they will get my business

I'm assuming you apply the whole row. I came around to that method after painstakingly making home made single shingles for a Miniart building until I had a Eureka moment.

Interesting use of laser cutting technology. I have to say I like these. Given the right finish and they would look good. I always a fan of seeing AM made things like these.

Hi Michael, i really like your fences! For the shingles, i presume it will be a bit expensive for me to use those LOL Cheers Claude

Great review. I have to laugh at the iron gates being made from a wood product. If there was ever a need for a photo-etch metal accessory, it has to be for an iron gate. thanks,
