Welcome to the world of Ziterdes!

The Model
As with Ziterdes models previously reviewed, this one is cast in hard foam. While this is rigid hard foam, it can be carved, or manipulated with heat, so be careful where you set it. The foam is both very tough and light, more so than resin or ceramic. It can be easily cut, ground and honed, as well as painted.

These models are made to stand alone or be joined with related models and incorporated into larger scenes.

This model is packaged in a plastic bag with a cardstock label.

The foam has a rough and faux porous texture that gives the feel of organic natural material such as stone, wood, and rusty metal. The surface is further enhanced with deep mortar joints between the stones, and wood grain on the many timber elements.

Detail
Architectural details include wood grain, diamond pane windows and unique wall structuring. Look at the wood framing on the top and door - you can see nail pocks.

Painting and Instructions
No actual instructions are included, other than what is on the webpage.

The model arrives with basic pain colors applied. The foam takes acrylic paint well.

Scale
Judge the versatility of this tower for your scale with the photos I staged. You will find 25-28mm fantasy figures, figures in 1/72, 1/76 (model railroad OO scale), and HO (1/87). For model railroaders I include an HO heavyweight passenger car for comparison.

For my tastes anything larger than 1/72 or smaller than HO will not look proper.

Conclusion
Modelers of many genre will appreciate this Ziterdes model. I look forward to incorporating it into a larger scene or a vignette. I think this is a worthwhile addition to my 25-28mm gaming table, and even workable for "braille scale" scenes of 1/72, 1/76, and HO.

Donjon Wolvenstein Spire has good detail and makes an eye-catching "high place," with convincing texture and fine sculpting of the door and diamond pattern window panes.

Recommended.

Please remember to mention to Ziterdes, NOCH, and retailers that you saw this product here - on Historicus Forma.
