the kit

Having never bought from Des kit I was most impressed with the casting of the kit, whicht is excellent and the detail is amazing. The figure is cast in a grey resin there is minimal clean up.

the torso

The main torso of the bust is cast as one piece, with the right arm and a small piece of the left arm cast in place, the casting is of great quality. The left arm has the 101 st airborne badge mould in place which will aid painting most effectively. The right arm has the anti gas brassard moulded in place.

the rest of the body

The head is cast separately and the facial expression is great. The glare of a tired airborne trooper is conveyed well. The right gloved hand is cast as part of the Thompson machine gun.

equipment

The kit includes : Helmet, and two SMG ammunition pouches these are cast as individual pieces all again in excellent quality. The helmet main straps and paratrooper A straps are cast as individual pieces and are of great quality.

The Thompson SMG is superbly cast with excellent attention to detail. Although there is no sling, however this is easily made from lead foil. Never the less the quality of the weapon is again excellent with all the fine details superbly sculpted.

conclusion

In conclusion, this bust is of excellent quality and immense attention to detail. The sculpting is superb, the bust has a brilliant pose so synonymous of 1944 photos of Airborne Pathfinder, this is a must have.
