I was glad to see your proposal John. I was thinking of proposing something myself recently due to the fact it has been a long time since we have had a campaign here on HistoricusForma. Even though my figure painting skills suck at best I will gladly sign up and submit something.

Thank you for the suggestion.

I have a bunch of dioramas and vignettes planned that fit this. This'll give me an excuse to do one of them.

Hi John,
Did you contact one of the KitMaker Administrators? This part of the site probably doesn't have a dedicated administrator. Let's not lose the little bit of momentum we have going. Just my two cents and I appreciate your efforts to get this campaign going.
Thank you,
Don "Lakota"

glad to see this getting some momentum, hopefully if approved we get some more members. As much as i like building (or in my case starting ) tanks and plains It would be good to see some more verity in the campaigns

Like I said in my last post I'm going to be doing Miniarts 1:16 15th German knight kit.
https://www.scalemates.com/kits/122330-miniart-16002-german-knight

The Kit is on its way but might be a few weeks before it gets here. I settled on this guy as this will be my first large scale figure and I feel more confident in painting armor for my experience painting minis then i do painting skin which still is a mystery as to how to get it right At least here I can hide a bad skin job with the closed visor. Will be interesting to see if skills from painting small things carries over to painting larger figures.

Only thing i'm worried about is the fit on these kits are known to be bad and require filling which is where I usually get bogged down at in a project

Hey I'm in! I've got a bunch of 54mm metal figures I've picked up at local game conventions and I'm sure one will fit this.

A single last stand figure is right up my alley.I have Miniarts Spartan figures. I started one and the fit for arms and legs drove me nuts till my friend Taffy 3 sent me some mister sufficer. Worked great on the fit problem. Aside from putting it aside for a slight sanding. I figure the earlier one will go as a stand alone for the 300 at hells gate. I'm in.

On the knights the seams are mostly hidden by how the pieces of armor fit. So as compared to the Romans and Greeks, it's not too bad and it is no where as bad as large scale (Really there's a plastic figure under all that putty!) Aurora figures.

Thats what I was hoping. Armor is a little more forgiving, with skin you better have a good reason a vertical line is going down a guys arm
